second nautilus release candidate 14.1.1

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hey everyone,

A second release candidate is pushed to the nautilus repositories. We are
down to a very small number of remaining items before the first
official nautilus release (14.2.0), hopefully at the beginning of
next week.

A few notes on this rc:

- There is a msgr2 protocol change from the first release candidate, so if
you have it installed on a test cluster, you'll need to restart all
daemons.

- The install/upgrade notes have been expanded and should be pretty
complete at this point. This includes a ceph-volume step that is need to
make legacy ceph-disk OSDs start up automatically after a reboot.
There's also some information about enabling monitor-based configs and
msgr v2. Any feedback on these would be appreciated. I suspect a lot of
users will be upgrading from luminous -> nautilus, so we'll want to walk
them through the process of modernizing/centralizing their configs in the
mons.

Happy testing!
