Right,

It is hard to get get at the mgr.x.log file, unless i hack the scripts
to keep it safe after an error. (Something that I'm really missing in
all tests actually: It is hard to do a post-mortum in case of a failure.)

That is definitely not loaded. As far as I can see there is no \*pecan\*
in the FreeBSD packages. So I have to "side" load it thru the python
tools, or preferably disable it thru a vstart flag.

Sample suggestions to test?
