If you haven't, install the rpmforge repo by following this wiki: http://wiki.centos.org/Repositories/RPMForge avidemux2 is not available as an rpm for CentOS. Compiling from the source is probably fairly tough because you would have to find and install a number of library files required. Perhaps rebuilding from a src.rpm is a little easier.
