Some, not all, you can get the changelog with "rpm --changelog -q 
kernel-smp-2.6.9..."

Neither of those two, 2.6.9-42.0.10 is current.

Stuff from the centosplus repo is centos-special extra stuff that does not 
exist in upstream (some stuff that are disabled in the normal kernel are 
enabled in the plus one). Generally, don't use stuff from centosplus if you 
don't have to (that's why it's not enabled by default..).
