I have two versions on my pc ncurses 5.4.13 which is from centos.karan.org. I complied version 5.5 from the source, hoping that might fix the problem. I downloaded it from ncurses website.

No repository on centos.karan.org has ncurses 5.5. Neither has centosplus.
