I've a 3ware Escalade 8006-2 and run Centos 4.2 using the latest

install? Is it good for reporting failed drives?
Thanks

Jon,
Yeah, it runs a daemon that you can configure via web or via the config
file and you can configure it to let you know when the array is
degraded, etc.
Justin.
Hi -
The only thing I use it for really is to alert me as to when drives run
amuck. It can also be somewhat useful for rebuilding a degraded array,
however, I believe this should be done using the actual BIOS. Remember,
this also means downtime, however.
Hope that helps!
Thanks
-dan
