echo never >/sys/kernel/mm/redhat_transparent_hugepage/defrag
echo no > /sys/kernel/mm/redhat_transparent_hugepage/khugepaged/defrag
is something I got on several boxes here. If I remember correctly, it  
« fixes » the problem.
