[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Seth i have make the steps you provide and it works on my testserver here at
home perfect.
Thanks.
But another Question

Must i set the 3w-9xxx in config-2.4.21-27.0.2.EL as block device or not?
like CONFIG_BLK_DEV_3W_9XXX_RAID=m

Is this required or not and why?

Thanks for help

mv initrd-2.4.21-27.0.2.ELsmp.img initrd-2.4.21-27.0.2.ELsmp.img_orig

copy 3w-9xxx.o for your system to
/lib/modules/2.4.21-27.0.2.ELsmp/kernel/drivers/scsi

make sure there is an entry in /etc/modules.conf like this:

alias scsi_hostadapter1 3w-9xxx

The entry: scsi_hostadapter1 in the above may be different....

run mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.4.21-27.0.2.ELsmp.img 2.4.21-27.0.2.Elsmp

Now you have the driver install done try it by rebooting and see if the 9500
is mounted at boot time.
