OK, thanks to Giuseppe's troubleshooting and help, I think we have gotten this iscsi issue fixed. There is now a new kernel-4.9.37-29.el7 (and el6) kernel in the testing repo. Please test this kernel and provide feedback so we can release it. The only change is to turn off: CONFIG_IO_STRICT_DEVMEM (and of course the upgrade to 4.9.37).
