Seasonal influenza activity remains low nationally during the 2024-2025 flu season.

CDC A(H5N1) Bird Flu Response Update  

CDC has confirmed additional human cases in California and Washington, bringing the total number of cases in those states to 16 and 6. Nationally, 36 cases of H5 virus infection have been confirmed, all but one in poultry or dairy workers during 2024.

H5N1 Informational Videos 

CDC launched a series of bilingual H5 bird flu informational videos. The videos feature CDC epidemiologist Dr. Denisse Vega Ocasio answering commonly asked questions in English and Spanish about the current H5N1 bird flu situation in the United States. She also gives tips for preventing infection.
