Seasonal influenza activity remains low nationally during the 2024-2025 flu season.

CDC A(H5N1) Bird Flu Response Update 

CDC has confirmed 13 farm workers have been infected with H5N1 bird flu in California. CDC has deployed an epidemiological field team to CA at the invitation of the California Department of Public Health to help investigate the H5 cases.

Ad Council

The Ad Council launched its “Get My Flu Shot” campaign, aimed at encouraging Americans—particularly within Black and Hispanic communities—to get vaccinated against flu. This year’s campaign features a new public service advertising that highlights how antibodies produced after flu vaccination work to protect the person vaccinated. We encourage you to watch!

While vaccination is the best way to prevent flu and its potentially serious complications, wearing a high-quality facemask, increasing ventilation and everyday actions like hand washing may help slow the spread of respiratory viruses
