Ceftriaxone-Resistant Gonorrhea The prevalence of antibiotic-resistant strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae increased in China during 2017-2022. Resistance to ceftriaxone, the first-line treatment for gonorrhea, nearly tripled. Implications of Measles Inclusion by Commercial Syndromic Polymerase Chain Reaction Panels During the first year of measles inclusion in commercial syndromic polymerase chain reaction panels, approximately 1% of tests reported a positive measles test result after recent routine childhood measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccination. Tuberculosis While the U.S. maintains one of the lowest tuberculosis (TB) incidence rates in the world, TB cases in the U.S. increased to 9,615 cases in 2023, compared to 8,895 in 2019.
