CDC Recommendations for Hepatitis C Testing Among Perinatally Exposed Infants and Children


In the United States, updated recommendations include testing children and infants born to parents with hepatitis C using a nucleic acid test for hepatitis C virus (HCV) ribonucleic acid (RNA) at age 2-6 months and coordinating care of infants with a detectable HCV RNA with a clinician with expertise in pediatric hepatitis C management.
