Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report 

CDC's most recent FluView report (January 16 – January 22), shows that while some key indicators used to track flu activity are declining, the proportion of respiratory specimens testing positive for flu is similar to last week, indicating that the spread of flu viruses continues.

Asian H5N1 Bird Flu Infections in U.S. Wild Birds Pose a Low Risk to the Public    

The first detections of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5 viruses in wild birds in the U.S. since 2016 were recently reported. CDC considers the current public health risk from these H5N1 detections in wild birds to be low.
