Planning Vaccination Clinics

CDC has released new guidance to help in the planning and implementation of satellite, temporary, or off-site vaccination clinics by public and private vaccination organizations. The new guidance includes information on additional considerations for hosting a vaccine clinic during the COVID-19 pandemic, including physical distancing, personal protective equipment (PPE), and enhanced sanitation efforts.

Dr. Nancy Messonnier

How Important are Flu vaccines this season?

Dr. Nancy Messonnier, Director of the Center for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at CDC discusses the importance of getting a flu vaccine this year. Flu vaccination is especially important for the 2020-2021 flu season, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Flu vaccines will not prevent COVID-19, but they will reduce the burden of flu illnesses, hospitalizations and deaths on the health care system and conserve scarce medical resources for the care of people with COVID-19.
