Next Vaccine Code Set Update Planned Publication Date: November 12, 2019

Pre-Release notification: The Immunization Information System Support Branch (IISSB) will release an updated set of vaccine code sets on November 12. Going forward, notification of upcoming vaccine code set releases will be provided prior to each release to help users plan their update schedules.

Access to the Vaccine Code Sets: The updated code sets will be available on the CDC’s website and to registered users of the CDC’s Vaccine Code Set Management Service (VCSMS). Registered users of VCSMS may directly import the codes into their organization’s system by accessing the CDC Content Cloud. For more information on VCSMS, email the IIS Info Mailbox.

Release Schedule: IISSB will provide updates to its vaccine code sets every two months, beginning with the November release. Updates may occur more frequently during times of enhanced need, such as when there are new vaccines for the flu season.

The following updates are in process and will be included in the next release of the vaccine code sets.
