CDC’s MMWR and Medscape are proud to introduce a new FREE continuing education (CE) activity. The activity describes current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for use of hepatitis A vaccine for postexposure prophylaxis and for preexposure prophylaxis for international travel. It is based on a review of scientific evidence and consensus opinion.
This activity is intended for infectious disease clinicians, family medicine practitioners, gastroenterologists, internists, pediatricians, nurses, pharmacists, public health officials, and other clinicians caring for patients for whom hepatitis A vaccine is recommended.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to
- evaluate the current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for use of hepatitis A vaccine for postexposure prophylaxis, based on a review of scientific evidence and consensus,
- determine the current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for use of hepatitis A vaccine for preexposure prophylaxis for international travel, based on a review of scientific evidence and consensus opinion, and
- assess the clinical and public health implications of current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for use of hepatitis A vaccine postexposure prophylaxis and for preexposure prophylaxis for international travel, based on a review of scientific evidence and consensus opinion.
