Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report
CDC's Influenza Division produces a weekly influenza surveillance report, FluView. According to this week's report (Jan 14-21), seasonal influenza activity increased in the United States. Thirty-two states and Puerto Rico experienced high Influenza Like Illness (ILI) activity levels. Nine states experienced moderate ILI activity.

Protect Yourself & Your Family Against Flu
While vaccination is the most important way to prevent influenza, antiviral drugs are the most important way to treat influenza infection. CDC recommends these drugs be used as soon as possible in people who are severely ill or people who are at risk of serious flu complications who develop flu symptoms.
