New FREE Continuing Education from MMWR and Medscape
Invasive Cancer Incidence, 2004–2013, and Deaths, 2006–2015, in Nonmetropolitan and Metropolitan Counties — United States
CDC’s MMWR and Medscape are proud to introduce a new FREE continuing education (CE) activity that describes US incidence of and deaths from cancer during the last decade: Invasive Cancer Incidence, 2004–2013, and Deaths, 2006–2015, in Nonmetropolitan and Metropolitan Counties — United States.
This activity is intended for public health officials, hematologists/ oncologists, internists, family medicine practitioners, nurses, obstetricians/gynecologists, pulmonologists, and other clinicians who treat and manage patients with or at risk for cancer.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to
- Compare US incidence of invasive cancer in nonmetropolitan and metropolitan counties from 2004 to 2013, based on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) surveillance study
- Assess cancer mortality in US nonmetropolitan and metropolitan counties from 2006 to 2015, based on a CDC surveillance study
- Describe evidence-based strategies to help achieve Healthy People 2020 objectives to lower cancer morbidity and mortality
