U.S. Zika Pregnancy Registry
To understand more about Zika virus infection, CDC established the U.S. Zika Pregnancy Registry and is collaborating with state, tribal, local, and territorial health departments to collect information about pregnancy and infant outcomes following laboratory evidence of Zika virus infection during pregnancy.

CDC offers free resources including video, fact sheets, and posters. Find various communication tools and information for specific groups.

Update: Interim Guidance for Health Care Providers Caring for Pregnant Women with Possible Zika Virus Exposure — United States, July 2016
CDC has updated its interim guidance for health care providers in the United States caring for pregnant women with possible Zika virus exposure, based on emerging data indicating Zika virus RNA can be detected for prolonged periods in some pregnant women.

Update: Interim Guidance for Prevention of Sexual Transmission of Zika Virus — United States, July 2016
CDC has updated interim guidance for the prevention of sexual transmission of Zika virus. The recommendations apply to all men and women who have traveled to or reside in areas with active Zika virus transmission and their sex partners.

Suspected Female-to-Male Sexual Transmission of Zika Virus — New York City, 2016
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene recently reported a suspected female-to-male sexual transmission of Zika virus.

Webcast: Clinical Evaluation & Management of Infants with Congenital Zika Infection
Pregnant women in the United States, D.C., and U.S. territories have laboratory evidence of Zika virus infection. Infants with birth defects have been born to women who had Zika infection during pregnancy in the US states. Guidance on appropriate care and support is needed to better prepare communities to support these vulnerable infants and families.

Increases in Medically Attended Nonfatal Injury Episodes Among Females in the United States
From 2005–2008 to 2011–2014, the nonfatal injury rate increased for females but remained unchanged for males. From 2005–2008 to 2011–2014, the nonfatal injury rate increased significantly for women aged 45–64 and for non-Hispanic white females.

Suicide Rates by Occupational Group — 17 States, 2012
The frequency of suicide in different occupational groups was examined, and rates of suicide were calculated by sex and age group for these categories. The highest rates of suicide among females occurred among those working in protective service occupations.

QuickStats: Age-Adjusted Death Rates for Females Aged 15–44 Years, by the Five Leading Causes of Death — United States, 1999 and 2014
The age-adjusted death rate for females aged 15–44 years was 5% lower in 2014 (82.1 per 100,000 population) than in 1999 (86.5). Among the five leading causes of death, the age-adjusted rates of three were lower in 2014 than in 1999: cancer (from 19.6 to 15.3, a 22% decline), heart disease (8.9 to 8.2, an 8% decline), and homicide (4.2 to 2.8, a 33% decline).

Increased Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Detection in Women of Childbearing Age and Potential Risk for Vertical Transmission — United States and Kentucky, 2011–2014
During 2011–2014, the national rate of HCV detection among women of childbearing age served by Quest increased 22%, from 139 to 169 per 100,000, and the rate of HCV testing among children aged ≤2 years served by Quest increased 14%, from 310 to 353 per 100,000.

Human Papillomavirus–Associated Cancers — United States, 2008–2012
Overall, an average of 38,793 HPV-associated cancers (11.7 per 100,000 persons) were diagnosed annually, including 23,000 (13.5) among females and 15,793 (9.7) among males.

Vital Signs: Motor Vehicle Injury Prevention — United States and 19 Comparison Countries
In 2013, the United States motor vehicle crash death rate of 10.3 per 100,000 population had decreased 31% from the rate in 2000; among the 19 comparison countries, the rate had declined an average of 56% during this time.

QuickStats: Percentage of Medically Attended Injury Episodes That Resulted in Time Lost from Work or School, by Number of Days Lost — National Health Interview Survey, United States, 2011–2014
During 2011–2014, an average of 15.6 million medically attended injury episodes were reported annually among employed persons aged ≥13 years. Nearly half of these injury episodes resulted in time lost from work: 7% for <1 day, 26% for 1–5 days, and 15% for ≥6 days.

The Gonococcal Isolate Surveillance Project (GISP) was established in 1986 as a sentinel surveillance system to monitor trends in antimicrobial susceptibilities of N. gonorrhoeae strains in the United States.

State and Regional Prevalence of Diagnosed Multiple Chronic Conditions Among Adults Aged ≥18 Years — United States, 2014
Women had higher prevalence of MCC than did men at the national level (27.2% versus 24.1%), as well as in the Mountain (28.1% versus 21.5%), West North Central (25.3% versus 21.2%), East North Central (31.4% versus 25.3%), and New England (29.0% versus 23.6%) regions.
