You are subscribed to Healthcare Professionals' Portal for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Hepatitis B VIS has been updated and is now available.
In the What's New! box: Hepatitis B VIS updated!
What changed since last edition:
In addition to minor language changes throughout the VIS, changes include
- updates to some of the epidemiologic statistics in Part 1,
- inclusion of the routine schedules and addition of diabetes as an indication for patients 60 and older in Part 3, and
- a note in Part 4 about waiting to donate blood following vaccination.
Can you use existing Hep B VISs:
Stocks of existing hepB VISs may still be used, but as always we encourage transition to the current edition as soon as possible.
TIP: If you click on the VIS and still see the "old" version, you probably just need to "refresh" your browser which will tell the computer to go to the source for the file instead of displaying the copy in the memory of your computer.
Our apologies if you have already been notified via the VIS email subscription. But, we hope the "tip" helps some of you.
