An estimated 7.2% of the U.S. general population aged ≥18 years reported having received a previous cancer diagnosis (excluding nonmelanoma skin cancer). A greater proportion of women (8.4%) than men (6.0%) reported ever receiving a diagnosis of cancer. Among women, the most common primary cancer types were breast (32.4%); cervix, uterus, ovary (24.8%); and melanoma (9.6%).

Development and Testing of a Clinic-Based Intervention to Increase Dual Protection against Unintended Pregnancy and STDs among High Risk Female Teens [RFA-DP-12-001]
The purpose of this funding opportunity is to develop and evaluate a clinic-based intervention addressing access to, motivation for, and adherence to dual protection strategies that concurrently protect against unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) among high risk 15-19 year old females. Closing Date: March 26, 2012.

Identifying Reasons for Racial/Ethnic Disparities with Completing the HPV Vaccine Series among Adolescent Females [RFA-IP-12-004]
The purpose of this FOA is to seek a cooperative agreement to identify factors contributing to HPV vaccination coverage disparities among adolescent females and to identify possible strategies for addressing these barriers. Closing Date: March 28, 2012.
