In the spotlight: Billables Project for Health Department Immunization Services Reimbursement
The Billables Project is a CDC-funded effort to enable state and local health departments to bill insurance companies for immunization services provided to insured patients. Since 2009, CDC has given more than $20 million to 28 project grantees to assist them in developing and implementing plans that will enable them to begin billing for vaccine services. The money raised through such billing programs can be used to expand and improve state and local immunization services for both children and adults.
Consult the Billables project page for resources, presentations, etc.
