The CGL Work Group leadership team met for the past two days in Santa
Clara. We made some signficant progress on the CGL technical
documentation work, and we also completed a near-final draft of the
SCOPE process document. Thank you to everyone for participating and for
your hard work.

1)       Technical / Document / Gaps work 

a.       Tim to lead with spreadsheet

c.        Logistics - room, meeting times

Meeting Minutes

 

Technical / Document 

-          The bulk of the 2-day meeting was spent on this very
technical work 

-          we completed a full pass at the docs and classified
everything into satisfied and gaps and identified items that need to be
removed from the specification 

-          Tim will send out the spreadsheet 

-          next step is to produce the wiki pages based on the
spreadsheet and have this reviewed by Linux Tech Board and community
gurus 

 

SCOPE Process 

-          we reviewed and edited the SCOPE Process document and it is
nearing it's final rev

-          Glenn will send out the doc for review within CGL WG

-          We will then send to SCOPE for final review before the March
SCOPE meeting 

 

Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit - Plan Proposal 

-          Tues - "The New CGL" introduction in plenary session - 20
minutes 
(presenter: Dan Cauchy)

o        2-3 slides on

*         CGL's new charter

*         working with SCOPE

*         working with community 

o        This is a teaser for getting people to the CGL session on Wed 

-          Wed - Interactive CGL session - overview with communities /
members (presenter: Dan Cauchy & CGL Team Interaction) - 60-90 minutes 

o        Introduction to new charter 

o        Work to date and status  

o        Relationship with SCOPE 

o        Relationship with community 

o        Feedback, Q&A and open discussion 

*         Ask: what is the best way to proceed and collaborate with LF
and the community 

-          Thursday - CGL team meeting - 9am to 6pm 

o        Need a room 

o        CGL technical meeting 

o        Work on gaps, wiki, etc. 

o        We will follow this by a CGL team social / dinner on Thurs
evening 

-          Actions: 

o        Dan will put together the slides

o        Dan to send out request to Jim Zemlin 

 

 

MVA CEC 

(presenter: Glenn Seiler) 

-          We will participate in the MVA CEC

-          Glenn will represent CGL on the discussion panel 

-          We will not request a table top since we do not have anything
to present/announce at this time 

 

Recruitment targets 

-          We need to increase participation 

-          We discussed and identified some companies that we will
target for recruitment to participate in CGL 

 

Next conf call  

-          Feb 20th, 10am PST 

 

Next face-to-face

-          Wed Mar 5th, the day before the SCOPE meetings
