Dan, Congratulations for your new position and congratulations to the rest of the LF-CGL Leadership team as well. It is going to be challenging year but I believe very rewarding at the same time. We all will help in this the best we can. It has been pretty challenging to organize the LF-CGL and SCOPE technical meeting to happen short term, but as Dan describes it looks like Friday, Nov 30th in Tokyo it is going to be. Primary goal for this meeting is to go through the upcoming SCOPE gaps document to be published mid October or so, and then plan for the next phases together. Again, congratulations Dan and the new CGL Leadership Team ! Thank you all for your support. I look forward to serving the group. Many thanks to Glenn for leading us in the past year. Secondly, we are tentatively planning to hold a CGL work group meeting in Tokyo, on Friday Nov 30th. The date and city has obviously been chosen to coincide with the SCOPE meeting that week, and we will invite members of SCOPE to participate and discuss the gaps documents, future direction and co-operation with SCOPE. We need a reasonable core team of CGL members present in order to make this meeting productive. I would like to get a count from CGL members that could attend this meeting in Tokyo. Please respond directly to me by EOB Tuesday Dec 2nd. Thanks, Dan.
