Although, as Glenn mentioned in an earlier posting, we haven't been very =

active in MVA, I wanted to forward this as it's an open call for next =

Communications Consortium Invites Speakers to Get Involved

Mountain View, CA   October 9, 2007 =96 The Mountain View Alliance (MVA) =

announces the formal Call for Presentations for its March 11 and 12, =

2008 conference.  The MVA, a consortium of open specification =

organizations in the communications industry, invites technology and =

business leaders throughout the entire ecosystem to submit presentation =

proposals for the ground-breaking event which will be held at the South =

San Francisco Conference Center in Northern California< /st1>.

The Mountain View Alliance Communications Ecosystem Conference, coined =

MVACEC, is an annual conference and exhibition that brings together =

suppliers and customers at all levels of the supply chain from the =

commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) ecosystem.  This years conference will =

focus discussions the acceleration of the adoption of open =

specification-based platforms in the telecom infrastructure. Keynote =

Speakers include: Mr. H=E5kan Eriksson, CTO with Ericsson and Mr. Stephan =

Scholz, CTO, Nokia Siemens Networks.

MVACEC is an annual conference and exhibition that brings together =

suppliers and customers at all levels of the supply chain from the =

commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) ecosystem.

The 2008 conference theme is aptly chosen from a quote by Alphonse Karr, =

=93the more things change, the more they remain the same=94.   With the =

Telecom industry constantly evolving, the two-day conference will probe =

into what changes may, or may not, be coming for the infrastructure and =

supply chain.  Services and delivery mechanisms will be discussed as =

well as how various layers of the ecosystem may be impacted.

Attendees will include industry professionals from Service Providers, =

Network Equipment Providers, and other users and suppliers of high =

availability equipment, such as carriers and large enterprises, and is =

in addition to the special interest groups that comprise the MVA.  The =

Mountain View Alliance members are as follows: the Communications =

Platforms Trade Association (CP-TA), the Linux Foundation (LF), Open =

Communication Architecture Forum (OCAF), Optical Internetworking Forum =

(OIF), PICMG, RapidIO Trade Association, SCOPE Alliance, the Service =

Availability Forum (SA Forum), and the newest addition to the MVA, the =

TM Forum.
