Invitations for the council meetings will be going out soon, and all the member companies on the lf_vac* lists will be invited. Based on the vendor advisory council call a couple weeks ago, the agenda is likely going to be something like... Combined User/Vendor/TAB meeting - intros and getting everything on the table UAC/VAC/TAB breakouts - chance for these councils to define themselves and how they want to operate Focus group breakouts - initial focus groups were server, desktop, and embedded Workgroup meetings - this was really fuzzy, but included involvement in some of the DAM/LSB workgroups as well as topics of specific interest to the councils (device drivers, printing, embedded profile, audio/mm, packaging, kernel message db, CGL) Peter is correct that there have been some competing dates going around. We were able to work with Google to move the dates for this event out of the weekend! So, the meetings will June 13-15 (Wed-Fri). The basic layout of the meetings are: Wednesday, June 13: Plenary session of the Linux Foundation members including key note addresses and breakout problem solving sessions. Sessions include keynotes from LF executive director Jim Zemlin and Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth. Panels will feature key individuals from the kernel, legal, end user and distribution communities. Thursday, June 14: Workgroup sessions on desktop, LSB, and meetings of the LF's End User, Vendor and Developer Advisory Councils. Friday, June 15: Technical deep dives on the following topics: Printing, multimedia/audio, packaging and kernel messaging. http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/Linux_Foundation_Collaboration_Summit So.... Stay tuned. Invitations will be coming out shortly.
