This year we will be celebrating the 140th birthday of the lighthouse on Saturday, February 14. A smooth drive along a maintained road led us right to the base of our destination, the finger. Seemingly with the strength of Hercules himself, we pulled ourselves up on crimpy hand holds, using tiny rock nubs to balance our feet on, and made it victoriously to the top.
