Desert Clean Up (BLM Facebook) Crew members removed more than 12 large truck loads of trash and debris (80 cubic yards) at a trash cleanup on public lands near Yermo, California on October 29. Obama Administration Rejects First California Desert Solar Plant (Bloomberg, 11/21/2014) The U.S. Interior Department rejected a proposal to build a 200-megawatt solar farm in Southern California. Graffiti Cleanup (BLM Facebook) Bishop Field Office recreation staff Dave Kirk and Jarrett Dampier removed unsightly graffiti from the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, California. The "tagging" took place last month and is under investigation by the Inyo County Sheriff's Department.
