BLM California Launches "Discover the Desert" Campaign (News.Bytes Extra) On October 6, the BLM California kicked off the Discover the Desert campaign to promote the natural and historic beauty of the California desert. The Desert Discovery Center- A Partnership for Environmental Education (News.Bytes Extra) The Desert Discovery Center has become a beacon of light for the Barstow Community and was recently awarded the San Bernardino County Education Medal of Honor. Submission deadline is Friday, Oct. 17, 2014.
