Try this:
in a file bin/ddg place the line:
sr duckduckgo $*


Then chmod 700 ~/bin/ddg

Make sure $HOME/bin is in your PATH env variable, and from now on you
can just run the command:
ddg whatever search string you want

And your browser should come up with the search results page.
