Hi, Today I donwloaded the file Jenux-2023.01.17-dual.iso using wget and installed it in a Qemu VM. I had no issue installing Arch Linux (MATE) but got no sound. I do not know why. To be honest I did read any document before installing so if there are some instructions to get speech during installation I missed them. Once in MATE Orca is started but no speech, idem for fenrir. What puzzles me is pavucontrol presents only Line out as ouput device (I have set intel-hda in the VM as I usualy do). Maybe this gives a clue? (I see the default "pulse" as AudioOutputMethod in /etc/speech-dispatcher/speechd.conf). However alsamixer does see the sound card. @Daniel: I am not acquainted with Arch, but if there is anything I can do to help investigate, please let me now, I will keep the VM for now. My email address is: didier at slint dot fr. Also, just a thought: maybe it would be simpler for people just wanting to install Linux to provide an ISO with only this feature?
