# This is the default configuration file for TiMidity++.
# See timidity.cfg(5) for details.
#source /etc/timidity/GUGS.cfg
#trysource /etc/timidity/crude.cfg
#trysource /etc/timidity/freepats.cfg
#trysource /etc/timidity/fluid.cfg
#trysource /etc/timidity/eawpats.cfg
soundfont /usr/share/soundfonts/default.sf2
Now I can use fluidsynth to play midi.

Well, there goes my last hope of getting an idea of what is happening sadly.
I was really hoping you would get an error message that could point me toward
a solution. I guess it could be helpful if you don't mind sharing your
timidity config and a list of files in /usr/share/soundfonts or wherever your
configuration is set to play from. Perhaps I will be able to spot a typo or
something.
