Thanks for your help Dave,

I tried to implement the command as root:

slapt-src gnome-disk-utility

but I got no response.  When I hit the enter key it just sent me back to the terminal prompt. I got no confirmations or errors.

When I tried to run the gnome-disks command,  It told me no such file.

Could it be that this package does not exist on my machine? What do you think?

The utility is called gnome-disks.  You can type that into the run dialogue.  Even better, you can add it to the menus by starting mozo from the run dialogue.  Suppose you want to put it on the 'accessories' menu. You could navigate to 'accessories', and make a new item.  The command would be "gnome-disks", and the shortcut would be whatever you want.

Thanks Dave.

Now, if I issue this command

slapt-src gnome-disk-utility

as root, would the system add a new utility to the menu? Or do I have to add it myself?  If so, where can I find this utility once It becomes available?

Cheers,

Ibrahim
