In those emails I think they may have two links the first with disavow which you probably do not want to click and the second one to let google know that's really you, but the way those links are labeled and what's in them doesn't give much in the way of clues.

Sounds like a change in your IP triggered a false security warning. You should have received an e-mail about Google blocking a sign in attempt. Just follow the link and tell it it's really you. You shouldn't have to do anything further.
