I enrolled in an EDX Linux course.  One result is that I got an e-mail with
an offer of one hundred bucks off the cost of a Linux Foundation
certification exam.  I think I have to pay up by this coming Tuesday, and
then have twelve months within which to schedule the exam.

I'm especially interested in what I think is the "linux engineer" exam.  As
I recall, the price is three hundred dollars, so a hundred off that sounds
like a good deal.  (I've even restarted studying in that direction,
especially since the Bookshare book I downloaded seems to be at least a good
start.) I just don't want to put down money right now unless it's clear that
I will be able to get the full benefit of the exam, money being fairly tight
right now.  I'll therefore be grateful for any good info on this.
