Thanks. I'll give ecasound a look. I tried to use it some years back, 
and it seemed rather complicated then, but I didn't really give it much 
time either, as I didn't have a project like this, so didn't need 
anything like it. Turns out I have another week to make this work, so 
I'm hoping for the best. Thanks for the suggestion.
