HI.
Can you tell me how you did to install it?
I ran the setup program, and it installed, then I ran pebrot, and it told me
that it couldn't find some configuration files, so I pressed enter.
Then I got a lot of code errors about traceback and such things.
I can send the messages to you later.
What packages can I have missed to install before pebrot?
/Kristoffer

I've tried to get both pebrot and centericq to work in text mode in
debian, but can't get them to work. Just a lot of errors abot libraries

Centericq is now called centerim and is packaged in Debian. So it
shouldn't be any trouble to install and run (file a bug if it doesn't
work). I've not used it in literally years.
I'm still using Pebrot. I didn't have any great difficulty starting it
under Squeeze. You have to install it as you would always, but it works
fine.
It's worth noting that under Squeeze, I at least get a warning about an
SSL socket function being deprecated. It's no big deal at least for now,
just do control-l to redraw the screen and you should be good to go.
I should probably investigate the needed function and send them a patch to
make this warning go away.
Geoff.
