Luke, When I used wubi all the files seemed to be downloaded properly and were put in the ubuntu directory. However, I missed the message to reboot to finish the installation. Now there is a ubuntu choice on the boot menu, but it gives the message that the application is missing. The wubi guide says to use a live CD to access the root.disk, but it doesn't say what to do then to get an image which the boot menu can find. I have a live CE for an older ubuntu, but I'm wondering if there isn't a way to run the wubildr program, which was also installed. To boot Ubuntu, you have to select Ubuntu as the OS when your computer starts. Wubi adds an additional option to the boot menu. Unfortunately this is not accessible, and the only possible way to know when this boot menu is on the screen is with a beep. How or even weather sounding a beep is possible on this menu, I am unsure. > > Luke > > _______________________________________________ > Blinux-list mailing list > Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list -- John J.
