different ways of working with different flavors and versions of linux. Slackware has its /etc/rc.d/rc.modules file in which you locate the proper lines and uncomment them. Debian has modconf to use. Redhat had and may still have kudzu to use. The modconf package has to be downloaded first if not already on the system. The kudzu program ought to be already on the system. Generally opening someone else's pc to install a card is not good form. However if you've already done that see what happens when lsusb -v is run. The usbsound driver of proper flavor needs to be enabled however you end up doing that.

Hello!
Just wondering if any of you uses an usb card in linux.
if so, how did you get it working?
The card in my computer doesn't work very well, and the computer isn't really mine either so I can't just plug another card in.
So I decided to use my creative sound blaster usb card.

How do I get it working?
