re: sign printing from command line

lpoptions -p KX-P-1123 -l returns with driver and class not found. 
Though in /etc/cups/ppd/ I have both a KX-P-1123 file and the ppdd spirce 
file from which this was taken.  I had gnome go out and add the printer 
for me and find these drivers too.  I'm starting to think I have me a 
broken printing system.
