Double check that you've correctly selected your model in the several cups dropdowns. Then consider the various interface protocol options available. Lastly google your printer mfg, model and the perhaps the words cups config to find out what other people have done. Use http://google.com/linux for your google search. Also, look at http://www.linuxprinting.org Please note that there are many printers not supported in Linux, usually because their specs are considered to be trade secrets by the manufacturer. When using Linux it's generally wise to check compatibility before purchasing new devices like printers--though you may certainly have had your printer before coming to linux. I do understand that. hth Janina > Many thanks, > Christian > > > On 2007-12-03 at 11:35 Willem van der Walt wrote: > > >What happens when you try to print a test page? > >As I recall, that is one of the ooptions on that web page. > > > > > >On Mon, 3 Dec 2007, Christian wrote: > > > >> Hi, > >> Many thanks for the info. > >> I managed to setup my USB printer but i cannot seem to be able to print > >anything.
