Yes, this is one of the fixes we need. Just to be clear, Speakup needs
to fully get out of the way in the gui console, including any numeric
keypad events.

Another issue, not necessarily a Speakup issue, is with the speech
drivers. Right now I think Speech Dispatcher is the only driver
environment that will play nice between Speakup and Orca. Clearly, we
need any device drivers providing TTS for Speakup to be available to
Orca as well, and vice versa. But this is not currently the case with
the exception of sd.
