it doesn't work with software speech and my double talk isn't working

Hi,

There are a number of Debian install methods with Speakup installed linked from linux-speakup.org. If you have a net connection available, you can use the Debian Net Install CD Image which is only about 150 megs. This runs the basic install and gets the rest of the system from the net.

The Debian install does part of the install, reboots the machine and finishes the package selection and installation and then presents you with a login prompt.
