hi:

My friend's reply is as following, I don't know whether it is your need:

from: peterpan@xxxxxxxxxxx
1. get zhcon's source or rpm from http://zhcon.sf.net
2. after installation, edit /etc/zhcon.conf (/usr/local/etc/zhcon.conf)

#defaultencode: default encoding can be :gb2312,gbk,big5,jis,ksc
defaultencode = big5

3. run zhcon on tty (console mode)

When I start Chinese console, brltty sais "screen not in text mode".

What are the steps which put the console into Chinese mode?
