a happy new year

It sounds to me as if you need to add the path to your shared libs to the /etc/ld.so.conf file
The following document may be useful to you: http://lightning.doit.wisc.edu/~jhe/emsphowto.html
It's for DECtalk and Red Hat AS but much of it is the same.
PS: You should learn to google. You'll be able to find answers to a lot of your questions that way. The answers might not be exactly what you're looking for but you can often figure out what to try by finding messages from people who have found answers to problems similar to yours.

ok, I took the festival library directory and put the libs in the directory in /lib.
it worked good a bit but then it wanted
register_cmu_us_kal.
and the hole thing ended with
*** required flite voice library missing.
help!!!

Hello!
I'm compiling speech dispatcher , but I have a problem.
I can't get it to use shared libraries, and speech-dispatcher says that it requires that.
I've installed flite. please help /kristoffer
