You could also have a look at www.oralux.org
Which is a version of Linux that runs from cd and comes up talking. Although it is still being developped.
Not sure how much vision you have but if you can see to read or have a reader then the dummies books give a good introduction. Unfortunatly at the moment even the Gnome desktop is not very accessible but this should improve with time.
Hope this helps,
Nigel,

I'd try yasr which is text terminal instead, because as far as I couldsee, gnopernicus doesn't work well at all yet. You can use yasr with eflite synthesizer, unfortunately I don't have the web site address but tryand I think you get it on debian distribution. If you want, I can alsosendsome beginners books for linux which I'm also trying to use to get starteda
you can just email off-list.

This might be helpful. Gnopernicus is only available after an "everything" install. > > -- > Karl Wilbur > karl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > www.karlwilbur.net > ----------------------------- > Registered Linux user #307374 > http://counter.li.org/ > ----------------------------- > > > _______________________________________________ > > Blinux-list@xxxxxxxxxx > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/blinux-list >
