Hi, Think twice before you downgrade to rh9. I have i think, seen sonme of your messages on the gnopernicus list. Getting gnopernicus going on rh9 is not easy. As to your question, Should you install Rh9, gnome will be your default desktop. This can easly be changed using a program called switchdesk.
