I downloaded the source-code for version 0.4.2 and tried to compile it and got the following error: Making all in util util/libutil.a(encoding.o): In function `gzip_open': /home/srg/src/elinks/elinks-0.4.2/src/util/encoding.c:94: undefined reference to `gzdopen' util/libutil.a(encoding.o): In function `gzip_read': /home/srg/src/elinks/elinks-0.4.2/src/util/encoding.c:103: undefined reference to `gzread' util/libutil.a(encoding.o): In function `gzip_close': /home/srg/src/elinks/elinks-0.4.2/src/util/encoding.c:109: undefined reference to `gzclose' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [elinks] Error 1 make[3]: Target `all-am' not remade because of errors. make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Target `all' not remade because of errors.
