Hi Mike,

> What is Knoppix?
This question is fairly well answered here:
http://www.knoppix.org/

My answer would be: Knoppix is a GNU/Linux distro, in one single CD . It
offers two magical features: a self hardware detection process and 2 GBytes
of compressed files.

The user boots up with the CD, and a few minutes later, enjoys a full
GNU/Linux distro based on Debian.

The default environment is KDE. Thanks to cheatcodes supplied at boot time,
BRLTTY may be started.

The Oralux CD is based on Knoppix. The current release adds to the Braille
features, the Emacspeak audio Desktop and the Flite text to speech synthesis.

Greetings,

Gilles
